Our Premises
Matthews Funeral Home are multi -denominational and welcome the bereaved to hold religious or civil services if they wish. The building comprises of a foyer, large reception area, two reposing rooms, as well as a sitting/ meeting room, kitchen, offices, toilets, preparation room and a large casket and coffin store.
A lot of thought has gone into the design of the building and its rooms to create a haven of peace and comfort in a homely atmosphere at this difficult time.
Our beautiful service room is suitable for services for all religious and non-religious funerals. Our room is equipped with a state of the art sound system and has the capacity to comfortably accommodate up to 100 people at any given time.
With many families now choosing not to go to a church for evening reception prayers, our room is very suitable for a gathering of family and friends with or without prayers, which gives people time to meet and greet with friends in a relaxed atmosphere.
We also have available a projector and screen which makes it possible to run a montage of photographs or film clips of your loved one.
Families may also request catering/light refreshments services to be prepared and served within the funeral home or may use professional caterers.
